The Business Unit
Governance and Strategy is responsible for strategic planning and reporting, Trust Secretariat, effective management of the ACM risk and compliance frameworks and associated reporting.

Current Position Opportunity
This position will assist and support the Director, Governance & Strategy to implement and coordinate enterprise-wide governance, risk and compliance processes in addition to providing administrative, technical and functional support and project services to the wider Governance & Strategy team.
The successful applicant will require tertiary qualifications in either business, commerce, policy, risk or other relevant field coupled with experience in a risk management, governance or compliance.

Typical duties performed but not limited to, include the following:

  • Assist and support the Director, Governance & Strategy with maintenance of the organisational risk management framework, in accordance with the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework.
  • In consultation with the Director, Governance & Strategy and other internal stakeholders, design, implement and then manage on an ongoing basis, an enterprise-wide compliance management framework including the process for reporting, escalating and managing compliance incidents and breaches.
  • Assist and support the Director, Governance & Strategy and Chief Financial Officer to maintain and continuously improve the organisation’s procurement framework and provide support for the business in conducting procurement in accordance with Victorian Government standards.
  • Ensure risks are managed throughout procurement processes including liaising with external probity advisors as required.
  • Provide expert advice and support to the business, or source expert advice and support on insurance matters from the General Counsel or the VMIA.
  • Draft, implement, communicate and maintain governance related policies and procedures, and ensure key governance policies and procedures are current, relevant and accessible to the organisation.
