Volunteer Deathtrap by Ira Levin

at El Barbaro Productions - Sydney

CASTING CALL for DEATHTRAP, a theatre play by Ira Levin.

I wish to invite budding actors and performing arts students to try-out and become part of a fundraising charity event for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

A one night only event (possibly two) on the 25th November 2017 at the Chatswood RSL Club Auditorium @ 6.30pm.

I AM NOT LOOKING FOR GREAT ACTORS. Only people who are fun to work with, adaptable, (and are open to) being directed and taking instructions.
And most importantly, people who truly enjoys flaunting their inner passion in front of a live audience, and creating magic out of something mundane - all in the name of charity.

This is only my second production, and owing to the success of my last year's play, I'm very excited to launch this new adventure. And what better way to raise awareness (and funds) for the benefit of breast cancer research.
My mum is a breast cancer survivor, and who knows you probably know someone close to you who, at some point in their lives may benefit from breast cancer research which aims to improve the treatment, screening and prevention of this devastating disease.

DEATHTRAP was written by Ira Levin in 1978 with thrilling plot twists, and refers to itself as a play within a play.

DEATHTRAP Characters:

Sydney Bruhl -
Helga Ten Dorp -
Porter Milgrim -
Myra Bruhl -
Clifford Anderson -

I will assume you are familiar with the play and the characters, if not, please Google it, or email/message me, and we can chat.

Rehearsals will be either on a Saturday or a Sunday (late morning to early afternoon), in the CBD area, at my home near Hyde Park in the city. Or probably at Tash's house in Hornby.

I am looking forward to working with like-minded people, and I hope to hear from you soon.
