Bloomsday in Melbourne is looking for a Production Stage Manager for HOLY COW! - A new comedy adapted from James Joyces' Ulysses.

In Ulysses, nothing and no-one is safe and everything is fair game: James Joyce, style virtuoso, sends up everything – including all the sacred cows of a thousand years of English literature. In this brand new, uproariously funny stage adaptation, this scurrilous and at times outrageous book springs vividly to life.

In June, Bloomsday in Melbourne are proud to present Holy Cow! for a limited run of 7 performances at 45 downstairs. This brand new play has been adapted from chapter 14 of James Joyces\' Ulysses and is a parady of the literary greats throughout history. It will contain live music, larger than life characters and lots complex witty language.

Bloomsday in Melbourne has a proud history of engagement with the work of James Joyce. Since 1994, a small committee of Joyceans has read and re-read Joyce and mounted theatrical events designed to communicate the joy of Joyce to its loyal patrons.

About the Director:
Jennifer is an award winning Writer and Theatre Director from London, England. Having worked extensively in the UK she moved to Australia in 2015 where she was AD and Vocal coach on Ghost Stories at the Sydney Opera house, and then directed the Australian Tour of the play. Most recentely she directed The Haunting at the Atheneum in Melbourne. Jennifer has worked on a number a Shakespeare Rep seasons in the UK, at Bard on the Beach in Canada and directed Melbourne Shakespeare Company\'s productions of A Midsummer Night\'s Dream, The Tempest and the Comedy of Errors, Much Ado about Nothing and Twelfth Night. Rehearsals will be on Monday and Thursday evenings and Sunday from the 8th April.
