Full-time Crew Chief

at Dragone Macau Limited Macau S.A.R.

1. Main purpose of the job :
• Management of the The House of Dancing Water Stage Crew and FMX Moto department.
• Organization of the department schedule, special events, dark periods in conjunction with the Maintenance Department.
• Ensure Daily Trainings and Show Presentation are to the highest standard.
• Work in partnership with all the departments within The House of Dancing Water, including Stage Management and Artistic department and The House of Dancing Water partners.
• Report to the Senior Manager of Technical Operations.

2. Roles and Responsibilities:
• Promote and update departmental and company standard operating procedures in order to maintain the safe and consistent operations of all scenic elements and props.
• Develop and oversee safety procedures and training.
• Establish emergency procedures for show systems with Stage Management and the technical teams; assure all Moto Mechanics, Show Crew and Show Props staff are trained and familiar with these procedures.
• Establish and maintain training and backup plans to assure continuity in performance operations.
• Oversee, organize, plan and delegate with his Leads to produce training sessions, tasks list and projects within the department scope of work in regards to maintenance and show.
• Coordinate with other departments and Artistic, as needed to run shows, rehearsals and performer trainings.
• Produce and manage the department’s yearly budgets and capital expense projections.
• Maintain the highest possible level of knowledge and awareness for company and safety policies.
• Work with third parties when needed regarding general safety, repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate and coordinate with system manufacturers for system updates and repairs.
• Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with props and scenic elements.
• Support the Senior Manager of Technical Operations by helping to maintain an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and Creates a positive atmosphere for all personnel.
• Motivate the team dedication to their tasks and company by identifying their skill sets and motivating factors.
• Complete staff end of year performance reviews, assist with hiring and training new employees.
• Keep the dialogue open and when necessary drive the disciplinary actions with support of the Resident Technical Director and Head of Human Resources.

3. Qualifications :
• College or Vocational Degree in related Field.

• 5 to 10 Years experience with theatrical Carpentry/Props in a leadership position.

Other Skills
• Knowledge of MS Office System.
• Knowledge of scenery and prop troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of various types of welding, automated tools, and other materials.
• Ability to swim.
• Willingness and ability to be scuba certified and work in a water environment.
• Ability to lead people and work under pressure.
• Fluent in English is an essential.
