ENTRIES for SHORT + SWEET THEATRE MELBOURNE 2009 are now open!
at Short+Sweet - Melbourne
Short+Sweet Theatre is the biggest 10 minute theatre festival in the world, which currently runs in Melbourne, Sydney, Central Coast (NSW), Canberra, Singapore and Malaysia - with Brisbane and Adelaide set to launch in September 2009.
The festival features feisty, unpredictable and original plays by writers from all over. Every year hundreds of writers, actors and directors get involved and absolutely anyone can enter!
Our Festival, our Venue
After four years at the Arts Centre, Short+Sweet Theatre has found a new home and a new found freedom. Chapel off Chapel is renowned for showcasing international and independent talent making it our ideal venue.
Rachel Baring our vibrant new Short+Sweet Theatre Melbourne festival director will co-ordinate an exciting season showcasing Victorian artists, emerging and established, through 10 minute theatre.
Short+Sweet Theatre will run in conjunction with Short Sweet+ Cabaret in the Loft Theatre, as part of the continual evolution of our festival.

What is an ITC submission ?
An ITC submission is where a group of artists or existing Theatre Company enter a proposal for a complete production including a script or concept (physical theatre or non-scripted theatre pieces are welcome), director/facilitator and performers.
