Casting FLY-ON-THE-WALL THEATRE'S new production
at Fly On The Wall Theatre - Melbourne
FLY-ON-THE-WALL-THEATRE and THE BRIGHTSPACE PROJECT are about to begin rehearsals for their upcoming production of the Errol Bray classic, The Choir. The play will presented in a stripped-back style, eliminating sets, props and overt costumes concentrating instead on the strength of acting and storytelling.
The play itself is a violent, disturbing and frightening cautionary tale against the stifling of the young from the corrupt power of institutions. The play will be presented as part of Midsumma Festival 2010 and directed by Robert Chuter.
The roles we're currently casting are:
DAVID : (13 but to be played by an adult in his 20's) a dedicated singer who dreams of international stardom, sensitive and artistic.
PETER : (12 but to be played by an adult in his 20's) the baby of the group, looks up to the others.
COLIN : (12 but to be played by an adult in his 20's) The brainy one, considered too smart for his own good but sees through the corruption of the orphanage. Has aspirations to be in politics.
