Jigsaw Theatre Company, one of Australia’s leading theatre companies for young audiences, is seeking suitable individuals to join its new Artistic Directorate.
Based in Canberra, Jigsaw Theatre Company has been producing high calibre cross-artform theatre for audiences aged 4 – 18 years since 1974 and is an ACT Key Arts Organisation. Jigsaw commissions and creates new work, regularly touring a range of productions locally, regionally and nationally from schools to major performing arts venues. Each year Jigsaw usually reaches up to 10,000 young people and families through its productions.
The Artistic Directorate will be responsible for developing the Company’s creative vision, the design and implementation of the annual artistic program and education initiatives.
In collaboration with the General Manager, the Artistic Directorate will seek the services of artistic and technical personnel, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and provides artistic advice to the Board in terms of strategic direction of the Company.
It is anticipated that the Artistic Directorate will meet up to four times a year. A remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidates.
