Position Description
In August 2010 Eagle’s Nest Theatre will be presenting a production of a new work by Michael Healy, Outlaw directed by James Adler. Season dates at the Northcote Town Hall are 19th August to 3rd September.
We are aiming to find a dynamic stage manager to work closely with the production manager and the director for the smooth running of all aspects of the show from rehearsal to stage to bump out.

Payment details
Payment for this position is on a genuine door split basis. Production costs have been covered which means that almost all the takings from the season will go directly into profit share. The new work by Michael Healy is the 2nd in a trilogy of The Green Wolf Project which will generate curiosity and interest in a pertinent political climate.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Together with the Director the Stage Manager will be responsible for:

• coordination of and attendance to rehearsals;
• supervision of prop sourcing;

• facilitating communication between the producer, FOH manager, and publicist;
• taking notes for blocking, lighting cues, prop usage, costume changes and entrances of performers;

Once the production is in season the stage manager will be exclusively responsible for the show.

Experience/Skills
The key things we will be looking for are passion, commitment and organisational/communication skills. Previous experience as a stage manager is an advantage but it is NOT A MUST – if you’ve got what it takes then we won’t shy away from giving a first timer a go.

Please send your brief expression of interest (just give us an idea of who you are, what you’ve done and why you want to do this) and a CV to Alison, alison@eaglesnesttheatre.com. We will contact you as soon as we receive your application to discuss an interview time for relevant applicants.
