Singers wanted for ROCKTAPUS! - comedy rock choir
at Linda Calgaro - Sydney
ROCKTAPUS! are about to start rehearsing a show as part of this year’s Sydney Fringe Festival and we're looking to cast more people - especially tenors and fellas in general!
The Sydney Fringe Festival is from September 10 – 26, with ROCKTAPUS! scheduled to do 2 shows, Tuesday 14 & Friday 10th.
What is ROCKTAPUS!?
ROCKTAPUS! is a comedy/performance a cappella rock choir that do acappella arrangements of rock songs (Queen, Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, ACDC, etc).
If you have an ability to rock-out, a more than generous dose of humour, can commit to weekly Sunday afternoon rehearsals 4.30pm-7pm, try out! Email Linda at lindacalgaro@aapt.net.au to schedule an audition or if you have any questions.
Rockatpus! are currently rehearsing repertoire for our Sydney Fringe Festival shows in September. Current vacancies are males: all parts ( bass, baritone, tenors) & females: mezzos & sopranos. Priority will be given to those who can confidently sing a rock solo.
Note that Rocktapus! is more of a rock group than a choir that does rock songs [shudder], so you must be a rock fan. Also note that this is not a ‘send up’ choir. We don’t wear spandex!
