Systems Technician - Vision Systems and Conferencing/Projection
at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre - Sydney
The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is Australia's leading business events venue, offering guests world-class service and a stunning waterfront location in Sydney's sparkling Darling Harbour precinct.
A great opportunity for an experienced AV professional to utilise their technical skills and expertise for the set-up and operation of events. You will also be involved in managing operational aspects of an event in consultation with the Production team.
The successful applicant will have a high level of expertise in vision, conferencing and projection and have significant industry experience. You will be focused on providing exceptional customer service for both external and internal events.
In this role you will be responsible for the bump in, operate and bump out technical equipment as required. Experience interpreting CAD drawings and work orders required. Other duties will include:
•Ensuring that all technical equipment is in working order and stored securely when not in use and that all consumables and other stock items are maintained at the required level.
•Responding to all reasonable client requests regarding operational requirements of events.
•Consulting with Audio Visual Production Manager and Technical Directors on all aspects of the operation and maintenance of equipment.
•Ensuring that the operational practices and procedures of the Centre are carried out to the highest standard of service and presentation.
Please note that day, evening and weekend work is a requirement of the position and to be considered, applicants must demonstrate a high level of expertise in vision systems and conferencing/projection. Applicants who possess qualifications in rigging and working at heights will be highly regarded.
