Resort Set Designer
at Club Med Lindeman Island (Anywhere)

The unique concept of being a GO gives you double the pleasure in experiencing both professional time (your allocated work) and social time (interacting with our guests by joining them to dine for all meals and participating in daily entertainment, sports and other activities) 6 days per week.
Club Med Lindeman Island, in the beautiful Whitsundays is seeking a
Set Designer to start as soon as possible.
Your role
• Designing, building, maintaining and managing the storage of large and small scale sets and stage props
• Creating other pieces for other departments in the village (e.g. an Easter themed basket for a food display at our restaurant)
• Set up and dismantling of sets for shows and daily events as well as scene changes during shows
• Be present at show rehearsals (10.30pm nightly)
• Working with a choreographer, costume designer, light and sound engineer to create our nightly shows
• Plus other GO duties such as dining with guests for breakfast, lunch & dinner, arrivals & departures, performing in nightly shows (optional) and interacting with guests in other activities and events.
Your profile
• Available to relocate for a period of a strict minimum of at least 6 months, commitment free
• Experience in designing, building, and assembling large and small scale sets and props for theatre productions
• Fit to physically manage installation, lifting and moving of a sets
• Experience in hospitality, preferably in hotels or resorts
• An open mind and a passion for people with a sincere smile and engaging personality
