Actors required for Patrick Marber’s Closer
Avid Theatre are looking for committed, passionate actors that can demonstrate a powerful engagement with the text for a late January production of Closer, to be performed at Theatreworks, St Kilda. The rehearsal process will be intensive and a significant time commitment for each actor. A positive attitude and strong work ethic is essential.
Closer is an award winning comedy of sex, dishonesty and betrayal that has drawn comparisons with Noel Coward's "Private Lives", Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses in its intricate focus on the politics of four people trading partners for lust, and described as a modern and tragic version of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte.

We successfully produced our first show in May 2010 – ‘YOU’ (under the name of seedbox theatre) which was performed at Theatre Works in St Kilda, and will be performed again at Northcote Town Hall as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival in October.

A girl from the town - Stripper, gypsy
Must be comfortable performing lap dance/strip club scene in underwear.
