We are looking for an experienced male actor with good vocal control and experience for the role of Rick, performed as a television documentarian/voice-over in “The Shoe-Horn Sonata” by John Misto. Rick interviews the two protagonists, Sheila and Bridie, regarding their experiences in a Japanese P.O.W. camp, on the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII.
Our objective is to remain sensitive to the humanity and horrors of war and its effects on all involved, to act as a memorial and so all experiencing the production can learn from the past. Auditions will be held in Penrith on Wednesday evening, 9th February 2010. Auditions will require a short prepared monologue and will take part in a short improvisation workshop as an “interviewer”.
