Full-time The Ten Tenors Auditioning Now!

at Frog In A Sock Pty Ltd TBA

The Ten Tenors seek expressions of interest for new members of the ensemble in 2011/12. Ideally this will be an ongoing position, so candidates interested in a long-term tenure with The Ten Tenors are especially encouraged to apply.

THE GROUP
The Ten Tenors began as a casual corporate act in 1998 and, since then, have grown into a critically acclaimed full-time company, touring the world almost-constantly since 2001.

The Ten Tenors have released nine albums, two of which have been recognised with gold and platinum sales by ARIA. They have recorded at the legendary Abbey Road and Air Studios in London and performed at the Sydney Opera House, The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and London’s Royal Albert Hall. They have worked with musical legends including John Barry and appeared along-side Oprah Winfery and Christina Aguleria. TTT have received numerous awards including the Australian “Mo” Award for Most Outstanding Variety Group in 2004.

THE POSITION
The position involves international touring upward of 36 weeks of the year, in territories including Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia and, of course, Australia. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of The Ten Tenors activities, including live concert performances, DVD and CD recording projects, and television appearances.

THE PROCESS
Applicants are asked to submit (to the address above):

1. two songs from the crossover / classical canon (i.e repertoire of the kind performed by The Ten Tenors, Il Divo, Amici Forever, Blake, Josh Groban, Hayley Westerna and the like) via either:

- DVD video recording (preferably); or
- studio-quality audio recording; and

2. a full-length body shot plus all relevant stats (height, weight, suit size etc...); and

3. a comprehensive relevant bio / cv

Please note that applications that do not have audio or video performance samples will not be considered.

Successful applicants will be shortlisted and arrangements will be made for in-person auditions with our creative team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will understand the classical-crossover genre, be capable of singing in a ‘legit’ style, but need not necessarily be an opera singer or operatically trained. Flexibility and capacity to easily switch from classical to contemporary styles is essential. Strong harmony singing ability, strong sight-reading abilities, and a can-do attitude will be especially welcomed.

As we hope to finalise the casting by May 2011, applications are invited ASAP. Please send your applications through this website or email info@dmand.com.au.
