Full-time Technical Production Manager

at Pan International - Melbourne

TECHNICAL PRODUCTION MANAGER
o Permanent Part-time
o 10am - 3pm – ideal for the school run!
o $40K - 45K (pro-rata)
o Great inner city location

Due to an ever increasing local and international profile, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Production Manager. Reporting to the Director of Programming & Events, the role requires supporting all the technical needs of all events programs run by PAN International.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –
o Supervise maintenance of property, sets and costumes.
o Oversee and maintain inventory of properties and other equipment.
o Oversee outsourcing of properties, sets and costumes as required.
o Attend site inspections for forthcoming events and provide insight and knowledge for all technical components.
o Formulate and supply lighting designs as required.
o Oversee The Crom hiring space and attend to issues requiring attention.
o Oversee a safety audit prior to each event or program to specifically identify issues for performers and audience regarding the set, seating areas etc.
o As required, work with staff and students regarding stage management during productions.
o Co-ordinate the set-up prior to productions – e.g. Seating / Scaffolding / Front of House
o Develop and implement OH&S procedures and safe work practices to achieve the standards required to successfully achieve NSCA accreditation.
o Provide OH&S advice to all clients and establish the “rules” of the venue.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA –
o Friendly and outgoing personality.
o Experience in events and/or theatre industry.
o Relevant tertiary qualification.
o Ability to work to tight deadlines and outstanding time management skills.
o Confident communicator in both written and verbal mediums.
o A keen eye for detail.
o The ability to thrive under pressure.
