"Concrete Moments" - Independent Sydney Theatre Production Seeks Cast - NSW
at Studio Maestro - Sydney
We are searching for ten actors for the World Premiere of "Concrete Moments" a new and exciting work from a young Australian playwright. The play is part of The Sydney Fringe Festival and is being staged from the 16th to the 24th of September at The Italian Forum Cultural Centre in Leichhardt.
Synopsis:
Imagine a city you don’t want to be in with a man you love who doesn’t want to be anywhere else. Imagine your only connection is a camera. Can photographs tell the rest of the world how we feel when no one listens? Can we split ourselves between who people want us to be and who we are? This is the story of Talia and Dom.
This play is about disconnection from the big city. It calls into question the notion of ‘home' through the exploration of Talia's Italian/Australian heritage. How do you answer that elusive question "where are you from?"
Talia:
Italian/ Australian heritage, Dominic's girlfriend, Photographer, bright, creative, artistic, does not like change, lonely, experiencing a culture clash

Dominic:
Energetic, Business Man, excited about his new job in a new city, driven by ambition, tends to be selfish, Talia's boyfriend

Mama:
Talias mother, over protective, jovial, very loving and caring mother to her children , Italian background

Talia's happy go-lucky brother. Tonio is care free but he loves his family
