at Melbourne City Dionysia (Anywhere)
CAST AND CREW NEEDED!
MELBOURNE CITY DIONYSIA presents EQUUS
Directed by Shannon Loughnane
Melbourne City Dionysia (The University of Melbourne) is proud to announce their January production of Equus. Peter Shaffer's Tony award-winning modern classic focuses on 17 year old Alan Strang, whose myriad psychological problems lead him to blind six horses with a spike and to the psychiatrist Martin Dysart. As Dysart goes deeper into Strang's demented mind, he begins to doubt the purity of his own motives, and the practice of psychiatry at large. Equus is a meditation on order, divinity, mental illness and the sanctity of one's own mind.
We are currently accepting applications for the following crew positions:
Assistant Director
Stage Manager
Production Manager
Set Designer
Props Master (Note: Props master will also collaborate in creation of pieces)
Lighting Designer
Board operator
Publicity and fundraising coordinator
Front of House manager
Hair and make-up designer
