Audition date: Tuesday November 15. 7:30pm for an 8pm start
The actors must be available for an intense 2 month rehearsal period - 2 to 3 evenings a week (Mon-Tues-Thurs) with some weekend rehearsals thrown in, beginning February.
Ruby Moon is an intriguing, surreal Australian play (on the HSC reading list) that deals with the themes of grief, loss and the limbo of a couple whose young daughter has disappeared. It’s a drama, a riddle wrapped in a mystery and a theatrically thrilling little play.
Characters: 1 woman, 1 man.
The Woman must play 5 characters and sing (though not amazingly) and The Man must play 7 characters. The play is approx. 80+ min in length and performed without interval.
Woman Can be late 20's to early 40's
Man 40's
Please prepare a short monolgue of 60 seconds duration - make it one you love! The audition will comprise of monologues and readings from the script. Be prepared to have fun, to be challenged and to stretch yourself as a performer. This will be an opportunity to show your acting chops and your versatility.
