The Hatpin
at The Regals Musical Society New South Wales
The Regals Muscial Society are now taking audition bookings for their upcoming production of THE HATPIN.
To book an audition and obtain your audition pack, please email or call Meg Day (meg@theregals.com.au or 0431 953 097).
About The Hatpin:
Set in Sydney, Australia 1892, The Hatpin tells the story of a single mother, Amber Murray, who advertised her baby in a
newspaper trading column in the hope of saving his life and ended up losing him to the greedy machinations of the
Makins. Amber’s search initially for her son and then for justice, leads to one of the most captivating, moving and
exciting criminal trials in Australian history.
By capturing the harsh realities of Sydney, 1892 our production hopes to enhance the show’s themes of friendship,
poverty, stoicism and courage, while celebrating the power of a mother’s love.
About The Regals Musica Society:
The Regals Musical Society is a community-based, non-profit group in Sydney, Australia, which strives to produce three quality musical-theatre productions each year. The Regals has a proud history, and has been producing musical shows for over sixty years.
Our two major shows are held in May and October each year at the Rockdale Town Hall, on the Princes Highway. We have also recently begun producing a smaller show each year in February. This smaller show allows The Regals to foster the talent of its members, and is performed in Kogarah.
