Looking for 3M + 1F Actor for New Production
at ADPS Actors Company - Brisbane
ADPS Actors Company is looking for trained actors for an upcoming Co-op Production of Michael Gow’s play ‘TOY SYMPHONY' at SYC Studios (East Brisbane) 18 - 20 October 2012.
LOOKING FOR:
3 Males (25- 40 years),
1 Female (28- 45 years)
This is a character driven piece and some actors will play multiple roles. ‘Toy Symphony’ is a fantastic script for actors to get their teeth into.
PRODUCTION DATES: October 18 -20 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) at 7:30pm.
WHERE: ‘SYC Studios’ in East Brisbane
PLAY: ‘Toy Symphony’ by Michael Gow- (1st performed at Belvoir St Theatre 2007)

STORY: ‘Roland Henning has writers block. When he tries to explain the situation to a therapist, his story begins to tumble back and forth between his childhood in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and his subsequent work as a playwright. At the root of it all is an extraordinary day in primary school which shattered his boyhood and plunged him headlong into the dizzy circus of life and art. Toy symphony is a wrestle between the vicious bastardry of being an artist and the sheer exhilaration of the creative act.’
COMPANY: 'ADPS Actors Company' is a new company born out of the training philosophy of the Actors Daily Practice Space. Our intention is to create regular quality productions that use creative minimalist design elements that highlight the actors role in telling the story. This is a Co-op production.
REHEARSALS: Dates for rehearsals are still to be finalised but rehearsals will be on a part time basis (1 evening and 1 weekend day) from August to Production week (Oct 18- 20). We will meet x 2 times a week but you will not be required for every session.
AUDITIONS: Will be via invite and scheduled in the week of June 18 (there is some flexibility around these dates). Please send your CV to info@adps.com.au
