URGENT: Casting for male lead in One-Act Play ‘The Weekend’
The Weekend – One Act Play – Written & Directed by Josie Parrelli
Synopsis: Lucy and Julian are a married couple who are successful theatre performers, they have just received awards and accolades for their show ‘Baltimora’, this is their final performance of the show – Behind the smiles and the accolades of a successful couple is the pain of the reality of their relationship breaking down.
Roles:
Julian: This is the lead role for the One-Act Play ‘The Weekend’ female role already cast
Character synopsis: Married to Lucy (female lead), actor, performing is his life, his distractor, success is everything to him
Age range: aged 25 to 40 from Victoria, Australia
Duration of play: 15 mins
Auditions: Monday July 30th & Thursday August 2nd
The play will be performed as a part of the Monash One-Act Play Festival in September, this will be the Australian debut of the play, it was previously performed in New York and it has just been recently published by Moore Books SA.
