Profit-share THE CHOIR

The orphanage boys’ choir has won the interstate competition 3 years in a row. MISS LAWSON is determined to win it again. She has the boy sopranos castrated so that their voices will remain pure and beautiful. However, when it is revealed that the castration was a mistake and that the boy’s voices are still changing fighting breaks out.

SwitchBoard Arts is seeking 4 male performers between the ages of 18-30 for their upcoming production of The Choir.

Time: Sunday 5th August 2012 @ 2:00pm

The audition: No need to prepare anything, the audition will be based off of cold reads of the script. Due to the ensemble nature of the script, the auditions will be done in groups.

The Production
The production will have a week long season of six showings from December 10th – 15th (with a matinee on Saturday the 15th) at the Visy Theatre in the Brisbane Powerhouse.

Rehearsals will begin in late August. The entire cast will be required 10am – 5:30pm every Sunday. There will also be some evening rehearsals to work with smaller groups (2-3 people) on specific scenes – these will be by arrangement.

Payment will be based off of a profit share model
