Open Auditions - Seeking Talented Female Singer/Actors
at Attic Erratic Victoria
Attic Erratic presents:
by Sarah Collins
OPEN AUDITIONS 19th August 2012
We are seeking a small group of talented female singer/actors for a new play to be presented by Attic Erratic as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival.
The show is called ‘Choir Girl’ and is the first play Sarah Collins has written since the highly acclaimed ‘Donna & Damo: An Asexual Love Story’ for 2010 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. As with her past projects Sarah will be the principal performer, but this time she has teamed up with Attic Erratic to amp the scale under the talented guidance of director Celeste Cody.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE PROJECT
You will form an essential part of the action and will both support and guide the narrative through visual and aural accompaniment. As an independent theatre company with bold ideas about design integration we will be relying on your astounding skills as a performer and as a singer to make this show the star of the 2012 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Your commitment would be regular rehearsals with Sarah and Celeste, working closely with the creative development of character and script as well as separate rehearsals with our musical team. Schedules can be adapted to your availabilities, all we ask is for full commitment to the production process and absolutely impeccable form and performance.
Performances will be nightly at 9pm in a Festival managed venue in North Melbourne from 26 Sept – 13 Oct. The play will run for approximately 60 minutes and there will be no performances on Mondays.
Your involvement in the show will be co-operative engagement, with profit share from ticket sales as well as the exposure you will get from performing in one of the major Festival managed venues at the Fringe.
Whether you’re a singer with amazing stage presence or an actor with a beautiful voice, if you’re interested in getting involved please email admin(at)atticerratic.com for an audition time and with any questions you may have about the process.
TIMES: 1pm – 7pm, Sunday 19 September
VENUE: Richmond Uniting Church Hall, 314 Church Street, Richmond
