About the play 'Lost & Found':

Four plays, four emerging playwrights. Join us among the trees as we share stories of passion, truth, knowledge and loss. From a revolution in the quiet carriage to a dance for the departed, these works are all inspired by our own city, the one we call home.

These plays were being presented by Spare Change Collective as part of Anywhere Theatre Festival.

Rehearsals will be one weeknight and some Sunday daytimes during March, April and May in Enoggera.

Performance dates:
14th-18th May, evenings.

Character descriptions:

Mother: Always walked her own road despite of others around her. Has strong feelings towards her son but is unable to express any softness towards her daughter because she wants her daughter to grow to become an independant and strong woman.

Daughter: Has always been very responsible and quiet. She has never received the attention she wanted from her parents and this has brought a certain grave demeanor into her appearance.

Father: Fatherly look. Still has a spark of youthful exuberance. Over the course of the play his demeanor devolves, his failing health showing.

Son: Has the look of a hardened professional. He is distant from his father, eventually warming.

Reese: An aging security guard, who has been working on the trains for years.

Dan: A security guard at the end of his first week. Perky, optimistic, true blue.

Steph: A scraggy, unemployed, woman who rides the trains to get out of the heat, because it’s cheap, and she doesn't have a car.

Megs: An uptight, private secretary who rides the train to save the environment, and because parking costs too much in the city.

Jack: Kind, quiet, Always trying to please everyone, Doesn't like confrontation and will flee when exposed to tense situations, Full time job in the city as an accountants assistant. Suffers occasional insomnia caused by work and training stress. Very rarely relaxes or takes a second for himself.

Kevin: Constantly in arguing matches with Sophie, Jack's best mate. They've been friends since High school. Part time job at a mechanic but also plays on the same football team as jack. The two don't train together.

Sophie: Loud and hyper active. Intense personality type. Constantly offering to do things for everyone so she will be liked more. OCD about how the house is kept.
