I\‘m Paola Landini, I have worked for seven years in Italian Show Business (Opera, Musical, Drama and Movies) like Seamstress, Dresser and sometimes like Designer.
With regard to the mastery of the tools, I use plain sewing machines, serger, iron with vacuum suction arm, washing machine and dryer.

I began my career behind the scenes of small festivals until i had the honor to work with significant companies and theaters like Arena in Verona (Opera) or Stage Entertainment in Milan (Musical).
I decide to move myself in Australia, especially in Melbourne, becouse it has some of the most important stages around the world.

Auditions date: 4 June 2013

Audition venue: The portable classroom alongside St Ambrose Hall, Dawson Street, Brunswick (just off Sydney Road, near the Town Hall and Brunswick Library, and opposite the Brunswick Baths).

Up for Grabs written by David Williamson and directed by Karim Shaker will be staged at the Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre in Brunswick from 22 -31 August.

Set in the world of the booming international art market of the 1990s, Up for Grabs is a comedy about the relationships between money and greed. Simone Allen likes to see herself as a prophet rather than a parasite, but when given the opportunity to sell one of the better Brett Whiteley paintings, her behaviour becomes less than angelic. Driven by greed and aesthetics, Williamson’s characters discover how far they will go when more than just a beautiful work of art is up for grabs in this sexy comedy of manners.

Moreland Theatre Company welcomes all members of the community to audition. The play has a cast of 7 and whether this is your first time treading the boards or you\‘re an old hand, we\‘d love for you to come along and try out! If you are interested, but can\‘t make the audition night, please contact Karim (details below) to explore other options.

Please come dressed in comfortable clothes and be ready for a brief script reading and to do some theatre exercises. You don\‘t need to have anything prepared.

Wakakirri TV Host Audition

Are you a big kid? Have you ever watcher ABC 3 hosts and thought “I could do that” Then you might just be perfect to co-host Wakakirri TV.

Wakakirri is a national festival that celebrates learning via the creation and sharing of stories. To be in Wakakirri, schools create stories using dance, song, film, art and writing to be performed, screened and displayed to audiences across Australia. Wakakirri holds shows in capital cities and country towns where schools stories are shared with a live audience of family, friends, industry professionals and other school communities.

In 2013 Wakakirri is launching a 12 part online series. With an emphasis on fun, this series will be taking children ranging form 5 to 10 years of age on an exciting wakakairri roller coaster ride of reviews, winner announcements, live show updates, and wacky interviews. The series will be focusing on items submitted by schools and students in Story Dance, Story Writing, Story Art, Story Film and Story Singing.

Our ideal hosts will have the ability to:
• Comfortably think on their feet and ad-lib,
• Is motivating, charismatic, warm, creative, and a little zany/wacky,
• Is Articulate
• Has an understanding of how to engage children ranging from 5 to 10 years of age.
• Ability to maintain an upbeat enthusiasm, whilst presenting reviews, crossing to Wakakirri stories, and conducting interviews
• Knowledge of how to perform for camera.

‘Teenagers In Love’

An original musical written by David Dunn
Directed by Anastasia Sidorova

TEENAGERS IN LOVE is an up-tempo, fun musical written about teenagers, performed by teenagers and presented for everyone. The absurdity of love is explored through light-hearted silliness and teenage intrigue, wrapped up with the potential for a large principle cast and an equality of speaking roles for both young girls and boys.

AUDITIONS:
Auditions will be held on Saturday 1st of June at 11am at 620 High Street Road, Wesley College, Glen Waverley.

It is a group audition. The first half is group exercise of learning a small section of song and choreography. The second section will be the performance of the audition material to the group.

The desired age group is between 14-17 years old.

You are required to bring a CV and a headshot if you have them.

It is recommended that you wear comfortable and appropriate clothes for moving, dancing and singing.

REHEARSALS:
The rehearsal period will be between the 3rd June and 3rd August. Rehearsal times will be finalised along with the cast. Performances will be early August.
